• Systems Engineer

    Robert Half Technology (Livonia, MI)


    Description We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Livonia, Michigan. This is an on-site, Contract-to-Permanent position that requires hands-on expertise in managing infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will excel in troubleshooting complex issues and delivering high-quality technical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage client projects from initial planning stages through implementation.

    • Configure and maintain Windows Server environments, including hardware setup and optimization.

    • Design and implement backup strategies to ensure system reliability and data protection.

    • Manage Layer 3 switching tasks, including VLAN configurations, link aggregation, and routing protocols.

    • Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD, while ensuring proper licensing structures.

    • Configure enterprise firewalls and manage VPN tunnels for secure communication.

    • Utilize Entra ID (Azure AD) for hybrid identity and access management solutions.

    • Develop and enforce Microsoft Intune policies for device management and security.

    • Support Hybrid-Active Directory environments and manage Group Policy configurations.

    • Provide technical support for applications running on Windows Server operating systems and participate in on-call rotations. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of IT support experience, with at least 3 years in advanced system administration.

    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

    • Strong understanding of security principles and hands-on experience with firewall configurations.

    • Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments and application support.

    • Advanced troubleshooting skills with proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.

    • Familiarity with Active Directory, including hybrid configurations and Group Policy.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage Layer 3 networking tasks and enterprise-level hardware.

    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
