    SUMMARY:

    Parker's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leadership Development Program (LDA) a two-year program designed to equip participants with technical knowledge and professional experience essential for success in EHS roles. The program includes rotational learnings focusing on various aspects of EHS technical, operations and leadership skills.

     

    The Program involves a two-year rotation where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences throughout the initial two years with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching/mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.

    PROGRAM DETAILS:

    + Duration: 2 years

    + Structure: 2 rotational assignments

    + Rotations' length: EHS Specialist Track – 1.5 years, Front Line Leader Track – 6 months

    + Relocation requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. Geographic flexibility is required during the program

    SCOPE/ SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities and accountabilities related to the rotational EHS specialist assignment, including, but not limited to:

    EHS Specialist Track

     

    Develop and support programs and procedures to meet facility objectives and targets in EHS. Key focus points include:

     

    + Accident Prevention

    + EHS Regulatory Compliance

    + Energy management and use reduction

    + Waste Minimization

    + Management Systems (as required)

    + Coordinate all EHS training.

    + Support and manage corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits.

    + On site contact for Corporate EHS Department and under corporate direction manage EPA actions such as, but not limited to, NOV’s, cleanups and complaints.

    + On site contact for Corporate EHS Department and under their direction manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance and informal conferences.

    + Direct all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

    + Maintain necessary EHS records.

    + Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives.

    + Chair ISO 14000 and 18000 Committees (if applicable).

    + Support customer EHS requirements (i.e. IMDS).

    + Report directly to division management and at staff meetings on EHS matters.

    + Ensure the training of new facility EHS Coordinators.

    + Attend biannual EHS Conference or annual Country council meetings.

    + Direct the division’s waste management (recycling) program.

    + Support and integrate EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.

     

    Front Line Leader Track

     

    + Supervise and direct work activity for all material handling functions. Effectively create and sustain material flow throughout the plant.

    + Develop and deploy standardized work instructions for department.

    + Establishes and maintain 5S standards for the material department.

    + Daily production planning. Schedule production to meet customer demand as measured by on-time delivery, inventory, and production throughput.

    + Perform capacity analysis using customer demand. Determine staffing requirements for assigned production areas. Ensure production targets are set.

    + Troubleshoot scheduling and material issues.

    + Help define, implement, and sustain PFEP. Actively support and implement lean principles.

    + Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures. Conduct safety investigations and audits. Immediately address safety noncompliance

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degrees in an engineering discipline, science discipline, environmental management, or industrial/occupational safety. If an Engineering or Science major, a minor or focus in an environmental, safety or sustainability discipline is preferred but not required.

    + Overall GPA of 3.0 or better.

    + Demonstrated leadership skills

    + Excellent communication and teaming skills

    + Demonstrated ability to manage conflict

    + Professional attitude and demeanor

    + Ability to work autonomously and in a group

    + Relocation is required

    + This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status).

    COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:

    + Pay Range: $60,600/annually to $115,000/annually reflecting variations based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

    + Participation in Annual Incentive Program
