Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Summary: Coordinates activities of repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of flow measurement facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Performs or schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Performs or directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Inspects and maintains operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
• Keeps records of maintenance/repair for equipment including but not limited to cranes, forklifts, loaders, compressors, generators, heat exchangers, chillers and vehicles.
• Keeps records of maintenance/repair for general facility utilities.
• Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Assists in all aspects of system/test set up construction.
• Operates heavy equipment for the purpose of facility maintenance or for system/test related construction.
• Completes structural welding and fabrication projects based on verbal direction, written direction, or engineered drawings.
• Assists with flow measurement related functions such as assembly and disassembly of test areas and associated equipment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma required. Associate degree or Tech/Trade school certificate preferred. Three to Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred experience: Structural welding certification or 2-3 years of structural welding experience. Working knowledge of compression systems, electrical generators, and combustion engines. Experience in oil and gas or pipeline related work.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blue prints, engineered drawings, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, Email
Certificates and Licenses: Certification in Heavy Equipment operation or crane operation preferred.
Structural welding certification preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
