Shipping & Receiving Associate

Adecco has partnered with a **well-established manufacturing and distribution company** to hire a **Shipping & Receiving Specialist** . This is a **direct-hire opportunity** for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values accuracy, and thrives in a well-organized warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Receive and inspect all inbound shipments, assign warehouse locations, and update inventory systems.
+ Prepare and package outbound shipments with care and accuracy.
+ Generate packing slips, picking sheets, and calculate shipping costs.
+ Invoice shipments and enter purchase orders, credit card transactions, and inventory transfers into ERP software.
+ Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move materials.
+ Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, track mileage, and schedule routine service.
+ Ensure all outgoing items have proper documentation.
+ Support periodic inventory counts and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
+ Perform general building maintenance (e.g., replacing light bulbs, basic cleanup, snow shoveling).
+ Provide backup support for warehouse team members as needed.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ At least 2 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.
+ ERP system experience (e.g., SAGE 100, SAP, NetSuite).
+ Valid driver’s license required.
+ Forklift experience strongly preferred.
+ Must be detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
+ Comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs and working in a physically active environment.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Work Environment:
+ Primarily warehouse-based, with exposure to seasonal temperatures and warehouse noise.
+ Involves standing, lifting, bending, and moving materials throughout the day.
