    Backend Developer

    Benefits of the Backend Developer I:

    + $65,000 to $75,000 per year

    Technical Skills of the Backend Developer I:

    + Assist in the development and maintenance of application and database components for new and existing systems

    + Write and optimize SQL queries to support application functionality

    + Participate in code reviews and testing activities to ensure quality and functionality

    + Work with senior developers to implement changes, modifications, and monitoring according to business requirements

    + Gain exposure to API development and integration (experience a plus, not required)

    + Support database and application troubleshooting under the guidance of senior team members

    + Learn and follow data privacy and protection guidelines

    + Attend regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and development strategies

    Candidate Requirements of the Backend Developer I:

    + 0–3 years of professional experience in backend development

    + College degree and/or technical certifications preferred

    + Proficiency in C# and SQL or similar OOP languages required (e.g. C++, Java)

    + GitHub or code portfolio preferred but not required

    + Must be based in Houston; this is an in-office position

    + Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn from senior team members

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to work collaboratively on a team and take direction

    + Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities

    + Strong analytical mindset with a desire to grow into more complex development projects

     

    Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year
