Responsibilities

+ Ensures food preparation is in accordance with planned menus and in sufficient quantities

+ Ensures food is properly stored and the proper temperature is maintained in hot and cold food items

+ Inspects work areas daily to ensure they are kept well organized and clean including store room, refrigerators, freezers, service areas and dining rooms

+ Ensures food is handled in a sanitary manner, including receipt, preparation, and storage, including checking food temperature log daily to ensure appropriate temperature is maintained and logged in accordance with health regulations

+ Check equipment daily to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation techniques are followed

+ Assist Supervisor with ordering, stocking, and inventory as needed

+ As needed, wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, remove trash, clean and sanitize tables and service areas

+ Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.

+ Engage with residents during mealtimes to foster a welcoming and friendly dining environment.

+ Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas, including washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness.

+ Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand daily menus and any special dietary needs of residents.

+ Report any resident concerns or feedback regarding meals to the dietary manager for continuous improvement.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain

+ High School Diploma

+ Valid State Driver’s License

Salary Range

USD $20.00 / Hour
