THE DEPARTMENT OF LABORATORY MEDICINE AND PATHOLOGY has an outstanding opportunity for a GENETIC TESTING NAVIGATOR.
WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE (40 hours per week)
Hybrid -Work from home up to 3 days per week
Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Serves as a test utilization management specialist and genetic testing coordinator in a laboratory setting for diagnostic tests in the field of genomics.
Essential position within the Clinical Genomic Analysis (CGA) team to maintain smooth operations of clinical services as part of a large team of genetic counselors, variant review scientists and assistants.
Supports a variety of clinical tests, research and QI activities as part of the Genetics Division.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Test Utilization Management
Client relations
Clinical case review and interpretation
Administrative and quality improvement operations
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or other genetics- or healthcare-related field
2-3 years clinical or research experience in genetics
Experience with lab information systems
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Detail oriented and able to adeptly manage multiple priorities and timelines.
Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement

$68,352.00 annual
