    What you need to know about this position:

    + The Clinical Risk and Patient Safety Consultant is responsible for the health system’s clinical risk and patient safety activities, which include, but may not be limited to, detection, monitoring, preventing, organizing, measuring, investigating, reporting, and managing patient adverse events, incident reports, and other indicators of potential patient harm.

    + This role will provide consultation and collaboration for the purpose of measurably improving patient safety outcomes, systematically assessing and supporting team-based implementation, and evaluating mitigation of clinical risk. The role will report directly to the Director - System Quality and Safety.

    + The base annualized salary for this position is $72,883. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The base compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

    + This full-time position will require you to work 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

    What is required for this position:

    Education and/or Experience

     

    + Bachelor's degree required.

    + Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Masters preferred.

    + Strong clinical background with five years' recent clinical or clinical leadership experience.

    + Risk and/or Safety experience preferred.

     

    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

     

    + Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) required within two (2) years of hire.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and listen, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
