Overview

i3 is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. The Technical Writer will translate complex technical information into accessible and user-friendly documentation, enabling users to effectively understand and utilize products, systems, and processes.

Responsibilities

+ Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of technical documents, reports, training manuals, and/or standard operating procedures.

+ Obtain and design the display of graphics in the production of the document.

+ Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publications, as appropriate to the requirements.

+ May develop, gather, and organize program related information.

+ Collaborate with technical teams and business partners.

+ Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

+ Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma and a minimum six years of relevant technical writing experience required. (Two years of related experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.)

+ Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville ALor be willing to relocate prior to start date.

+ Active Secret clearance is required. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position.

+ U.S. citizenship is required.
