The Speech Pathology Group and Rehab Services of CT is a highly passionate and skilled multidisciplinary teamseeking a dynamic, talented, and funPediatric Occupational Therapy Managerto join our SPGCT team.In addition to OT, SPGCT offers families a broad scope of services including speech, ABA, physical, and aquatic therapy services!
Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of pediatric experience in the field and in a clinic setting. Experience with initial evaluations and has knowledge in the following areas: fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, gross motor, activities of daily living, reflex integration, self-help, self-regulation, cognitive development, as well as supervising OTR's and COTA's.The OT department manager would be responsible for bothSouthbury, CT and Shelton, CTclinic support with a split role of administrative and minimal case load.This role is to be filled as a full-time opening, however part-time applicants will be considered.
Occupational Therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Individual evaluations, screenings, and assessments
+ Planning and implementation of appropriate treatment sessions
+ Developing and implementing goals, plans of care
+ Parent education and training
+ Effective communication skills with patients, parents and staff
+ Strong organizational skills and creativity of session planning
+ Flexibility to adapt to different environment and settings
+ Engaging in multi-collaboration opportunities with other related services
Lead management responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Develop proactive solutions to resolve any quality issues identified.
+ Work in conjunction with administrative team and clinic director, to ensure high quality therapy service to patients and clients and consistency across locations
+ Lead and supervise: Proactively communicate with staff, answer questions, manage performance
+ Manage staff statistics and department growth
+ Manage a variety of projects that may be needed to support the business
+ Individual and group training of staff on OT principals.
+ Collaborate with team members and families for trainings and support
+ Review SOAP notes and diagnostic evaluations to ensure written properly
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Currently hold an CT Occupational Therapy State license (required)
+ AOTA/NBCOT Certification (required)
+ Meet all professional requirements and rules of professional conduct as an Occupational Therapist including maintaining licensure and CEUs (required)
+ Pediatric experience required (minimum 2 years required)
+ Previous leadership & management skills (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
