    Description

    The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a local healthcare center to add a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to their team. This is a fully onsite position. The ideal candidate must be able pick up the role quickly.

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm (hours can be flexible)

    Responsibilities for the position include the following:

    + Proactively manage accounts receivable: Research and resolve outstanding balances efficiently to ensure timely collections.

    + Action correspondence: Investigate and address assigned inquiries promptly and accurately.

    + Optimize claims processing: Utilize effective resources to secure prompt payment for open claims.

    + Resolve payment discrepancies: Identify and resolve underpayments, overpayments, and unpaid claims, initiating adjustments, overpayment notifications, and refund requests as needed.

    + Support team initiatives: Be adaptable and willing to assist with various projects as they arise.

    + Address complex issues: Troubleshoot and resolve escalated AR and manufacturer-related concerns.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical collections or accounts receivable.

     

    • Strong knowledge of medical claims processes and insurance payers.

    • Familiarity with commercial payer systems and workflows.

    • Proven ability to identify and resolve payment discrepancies effectively.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong communication skills for interfacing with team members and external contacts.
