    Requisition ID: 75805

    Description

The Diversified Analog Solutions team located in Andover, MA, is home to our design center for WLAN applications and has a challenging opportunity for a University Student available for a 6-month work term. Skyworks is looking for a Winter/Spring 2026 Co-Op (January 2026 - June 2026). The candidate should have knowledge of semiconductors, analog circuits, and RF design fundamentals. They should have a basic understanding of RF designs, such as PA, LNA, and switches, as well as analog blocks like bias and bandgap. Understanding design parameters such as gain, noise, non-linearity, S-parameters, and stability, as well as familiarity with design tools like ADS/Cadence, is required. Exposure to a lab testing setup and environment, including commonly used test equipment like a network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, frequency generator, and noise figure meter, will be useful as well.

The Co-Op student will work closely with a group of PA and LNA design mentors in the development of ICs and modules that have stand-alone or integrated PA cores, LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, bias controllers, and various RF functional blocks for WLAN applications.

    Term: Winter/Spring 2026 Co-Op (January 2026 - June 2026)

    Responsibilities

The candidate will have the following job responsibilities:

+ Simulating/validating performance across supply, temperature, and frequency.

+ Block-level design and simulation to understand the circuits that are being measured, and correlating measurements with the simulation

+ Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results, and presenting a results summary.

+ Tuning RF front-end modules in the lab, including impedance matching.

+ Evaluating RF parameters like Small Signal, Harmonics, DEVM, IP3, NF, Settling Time, etc.

    Required Experience and Skills

+ Must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program studying Electrical Engineering.

+ Must be available to work onsite full-time January - June 2026.

+ Must have completed at least one RF/Microwave Electronics course.

+ Experience in presenting materials for design/data review.

+ Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.

+ Knowledgeable in the use of a Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Generator, Power Meter, and Oscilloscope.

+ Desirable knowledge/experience includes familiarity with Agilent ADS and/or Cadence Spectre/RF simulation tools, Cadence Virtuoso IC Layout, and Momentum.
