Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing IT Developer for our Aiken PSR plant.

The Computer Integrated Manufacturing position is responsible for the strategic planning and design of telecom infrastructure and/or network components. A Senior Professional position applies advanced knowledge of a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Responsibilities

+ Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision

+ Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals

+ Supports continuous improvement/automation activities

+ Analyzes the short-term and/or long-term network capacity needs for current and future network requirements

+ Designs the network architecture and performs technical analysis of software, hardware, network systems, systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems

+ Ensures compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards and protocols

+ Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

+ BS in Computer Science or related IT discipline

+ 5+ years experience programming database centric applications in a manufacturing environment is preferred

+ Proficiency in advanced T-SQL programming

+ Proficiency in .NET programming utilizing C#, VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET

+ Demonstrated capability to seize ownership of a project and carry it from conception through post-implementation support

+ Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment

+ Familiarity with classic ASP and hand-held computers/scanners such as Intermec or Motorola would be a plus.
