We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Specialist to fill this hybrid role which is based in our Seattle, WA office. In this critical role you’ll support the Senior Director, Risk Management with all administrative functions including but not limited to managing certificates of insurance, correspondence, invoice processing, vendor requests, preparation of insurance renewal data, mail review and response, opening files in IRM claim system, ensuring department files are recorded properly in the designated systems.

Responsibilities

+ Issue and manage certificates of insurance for various stakeholders, and contracts ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Review incoming mail and Senior/Director's email to respond to requests within scope of position (requests for policy information, certificates, meeting requests, invoice processing etc.)

+ Support insurance policy renewals with information gathering on exposures (fleet automobiles, property values, payroll information, etc.)

+ Provide support to the Senior Director, Risk Management regarding insurance and risk management related issues. Assist with department calendaring, Legal and Claims correspondence, managing of records into designated systems and other adminstrative responsibilities as needed.

+ Perform other duties as needed. Adhere to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.

+ Experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field.

+ Experience in administratively assisting/supporting executive leadership.

+ Experience working with certificates of insurance.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

+ Strong understanding of insurance policies, terms, and compliance requirements.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

Please note that this is a hybrid position based in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be comfortable coming into the office 3 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday).

+ Base Hourly Range: $23.41-$31.59. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
