    *Float position. Primary location Prairie Parkway Family Medicine, secondary location Prairie Parkway Internal Medicine and UMP Internal Medicine.

    1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, Daytime Hours within Clinic Hours

    Responsibilities

    + Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and reason for visit

    + Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments including pap smears, pelvic exams, and prenatal visits

    + Administer injections and medications as directed

    + Perform basic lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing

    + Provide patient education and instructions for follow-up care

    + Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

    + Support a positive, team-focused clinic culture

    Qualifications

    + Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants.

    + Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT (RMA) certification

    + Meets educational/competency requirements per policy.

    + Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.

    + Computer data entry experience.

    + Mandatory Reporter certification.

    + CPR certification.

    + Strong interpersonal skills.

    + Strong computer skills.

    + Ability to work as a team member.

    + Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures

    + Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred
