    The Cardiovascular Technologist/Technician is responsible for monitoring of physiologic data received during cardiac catheterization: performs the technical aspects of cardiac catheterization; and assists the physician during the procedure.

     

    I. Qualifications:

    A. Education:

     

    Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), and registered with the Texas Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program (MRT).

     

    B. Training and Experience:

    1. Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association

     

    upon hire or transfer to department.

     

    2. A minimum of one year experience in Radiology.
