    The total compensation package for this role will include full relocation and a sign-on bonus with a 24-month service commitment.

    *How you’ll contribute*

    A Director of Materials Management who excels in this role:

    * Oversees the evaluation, procurement, storage, and distribution of all supplies and equipment within the hospital. This is a working director role.

    * Quality improvement, which includes receiving and PO discrepancy, item conversions (spreadsheets) and item builds and deletions.

    * Conducts backorder research and status update communication to all those impacted. Must have experience and knowledge with contracts and cost analysis.

    * Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

    * Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

    * Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

    * Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.

    * Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

    * Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

    * Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.

    *What we’re looking for*

    * Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

    * Experience: A minimum of five years of leadership experience and three years hospital acute care experience or a minimum of ten years of past purchasing experience and one year of hospital acute care experience.
