    Under the general direction of the Chief or Manager/Director, provides overall management of the Department/Division/Program research portfolio in partnership with Principal Investigators to ensure compliance and successful completion of research activities. Performs complex pre-award and post-award functions for all federal and/or state grant funds, private foundation grants, subcontracts, discretionary and endowment funds, and/or any other sponsored funds.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead strategic planning, financial analysis, and long-term projections for the department/division/program.

    + Advise Principal Investigators on proposal development, budgets, sponsor regulations, and grant submissions.

    + Manage full grant lifecycle, including pre-award, post-award, effort reporting, and compliance oversight.

    + Oversee financial operations by monitoring spending, analyzing expenses, forecasting, reconciling variances, and reporting results.

    + Collaborate with institutional offices to address research faculty needs and resolve complex grant-related issues.

    + Supervise, mentor, and train staff while establishing policies, systems, and procedures to ensure quality and compliance.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    + Bachelors in Business Administration or Public Health

    Experience

    + 7 years of research administrative experience required.
