• Maintenance Mechanic

    Our client, a rubber manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanic 3 to join their team. As a Mechanic 3, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting Production and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Mechanic 3

    **Location:** Auburn, Hills, MI

    **Pay Range:** $28 - $35/hr

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Independently modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot injection press and auxiliary equipment

    + Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using PLC ladder logic and mechanical principles

    + Conduct preventive maintenance activities and maintain plant equipment such as compressors, chillers, and fire systems

    + Train others on equipment setup, changeover, and maintenance procedures

    + Respond to equipment issues promptly and maintain documentation for shift handovers

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + Trade school certification or equivalent experience

    + 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems maintenance

    + PLC experience (AB PLC-5 or Siemens)

    + Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and lockout/tagout procedures

    + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical sketches
