We are currently looking for a Commercial Analyst I,II, Sr. for our Houston, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

+ Designing and developing user-centric Power Bl reports and dashboards to meet Boardwalk Pipelines commercial stakeholders' needs

+ Utilizing DAX formulas to create calculated measures, columns, and tables for complex calculations and data manipulation

+ Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis of commercial activities, imbalances, and revenue generation

+ Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and/or transform commercial transactional data for reporting and/or competitive analysis

+ Troubleshooting and resolving issues in PowerBI reports

+ Providing training and support to the pipeline commercial team on using PowerBI

+ Documenting data sources, data transformations, and report logic for future reference

+ Support Commercial Team in response to regulatory audits and/or rate case support

+ Use of third-party data and analysis tools to provide competitor analysis and assess customer market share

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

+ Proficiency in PowerBI development, including report and dashboard creation

+ Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts

+ Exposure to Tabular Editor to enhance efficiency of PowerBI calculated measures, columns, and tables

+ Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction / database management

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills

+ Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

+ Adaptability to changing business requirements

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

+ 2 to 5+ years’ experience in data analytics

+ 1 to 2 years of natural gas commercial and/or financial data manipulation and analysis

+ Expertise in DAX and Power Query M language

+ Expertise in Tabular Editor to enhance efficiency of PowerBI calculated measures, columns, and tables

+ Proficiency in Python

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS, Engineering or related field
