    THE ROLE

    Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive production development coordinator within our consumer products division to join the team. Will be responsible for developing materials and trims, building and maintaining accurate BOM’s, maintaining costs in accordance with financial objectives, communicating adjustments and corrections to international and domestic vendors, suppliers, overseeing sampling, resolving any issues that may arise, and providing insight and feedback to the team. This position is full time in person.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Coordinate daily correspondence and production coordination with overseas factories

    + Liaise cross-functionally with design, sales, technical design teams to ensure seamless workflow

    + Maintain and monitor time and action (T&A) calendars and production WIP reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates

    + Track and follow up on all production orders to ensure on-time execution, proactively identifying and resolving delays

    + Ensure bulk deliveries meet retailer requirements, timelines, and quality standards; communicate updates promptly to the sales team

    + Coordinate with traffic and accounting to ensure timely payment releases and on-schedule goods arrival at the warehouse

    + Review and approve/comment on shipping marks, packaging layouts, hangtags, and other production-related materials

    + Ensure compliance label standards, including testing and packaging requirements

    + Leverage in-depth understanding of apparel production to anticipate and resolve fit, safety, and compliance challenges

    + Maintain timelines and WIP reports throughout all phases of development and production, both for vendors and in-house management

    + Coordinate the sample room organizational process

    + Issue, update, and track Purchase Orders (POs), maintaining accuracy and alignment with cost, lead times, and delivery targets

    + Maintain close communication with overseas vendors and internal cross-functional teams (Design, Tech, Merchandising, Logistics)

    + Facilitate the Time & Action (T&A) calendar, ensuring all production milestones are achieved

    + Track and follow up on bulk fabric approvals, trims, lab dips, fit samples, and TOPs

    + Collaborate with Logistics and Compliance to support smooth shipping and customs clearance

    + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in PLM and Google Sheet trackers

    + Support recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding various team members

    + Other special projects as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 3+ years+ experience in product development, design or production in garment manufacturing

    + Knowledge of raw materials and garment construction

    + Experience working and communicating with domestic and international manufacturers

    + Proven ability to provide leadership, supervision and direction to peers through development process

    + Ability to demonstrate capabilities through a costing exercise

    + Familiarity with a product lifecycle management system

    + Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

    + Strong communications skills both verbal and written and must be able to actively and attentively listen

    + Proven ability to network effectively

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

    + May work in drastic temperature climates

    + Must be willing travel to work events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
