Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Starting Pay: $55+/hour

Employment Type: 8:00 - 2:30 Monday - Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students with special needs from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role requires a commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Key Responsibilities

+ Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.

+ Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

+ Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans.

+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations.

+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).

+ Certifications (preferred but not required):

+ Standard Elementary Teaching

+ Standard Secondary Teaching

+ Standard Special Teaching

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)

+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
