    Out client has an amazing opportunity for an OpenShift Engineer. The ideal candidate will join our team with in-depth expertise in OpenShift Container Platform, VMware virtualized on-prem workloads, create CI/CD workflows and scalable infrastructure while maintaining Security standards; all in a Development/lab environment. Experience working in or supporting MSO (Multiple System Operator) or mobile/telco environments is a strong plus.

    Rate: $70 - $80 / hr. w2

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, deploy, and manage OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.

    • 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer.

    • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift OCP (v4.12+ preferred), including cluster operations and administration.

    • 5+ years experience with VMware vSphere

    • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift and related tools (e.g., GitLab CI).

    • Develop automation scripts for cluster provisioning and maintenance (Ansible, Helm, etc.).

    • Monitor OpenShift clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.

    • Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues related to OpenShift and container workloads.

    • Maintain and upgrade OpenShift clusters and components.

    • Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, platform, and container levels.

    • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to support containerized workloads and microservices.

    • Document systems architecture, configurations, and migration processes.

    • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.

    • Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to internal teams as needed.

    Experience Requirements:

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

    • Passion for automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

    • Experience working in telecom/mobile environments.

     

    _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
