    Job Description

    We are seeking an **Associate Product Developer** to join our Outdoor Performance platform team. The Outdoor Performance strategic priorities are to be consumer-first focused, lead with power brands, and invest inwards. We will create product innovation and deliver scale through shared product design and development teams focused around four major categories: Soft Goods, Hard Goods and Equipment, Outdoor Cooking, as well as IOT and Connected Devices.

     

    In the Associate Product Developer role at Revelyst, the primary focus is on managing the creation and execution of soft goods apparel, accessory, and assigned product lines. Developers are instrumental in ensuring that products are brought to market efficiently and cost-effectively while remaining faithful to the product vision. Collaboration with colleagues across different departments is emphasized as a vital component in achieving these objectives successfully.

     

    Developers at Revelyst need to adopt a comprehensive approach that goes beyond technical skills to encompass a profound comprehension of market trends and consumer preferences. Through close teamwork with cross-functional teams, Developers can integrate a variety of viewpoints and insights into the product development process, resulting in the generation of innovative and attractive soft goods accessory lines. This collaborative approach is critical for aligning the final products with the company's core values and vision, thereby not only meeting business goals but also making a positive impact on customers and the environment.

     

    This position reports to the Sr. Development Director of Outdoor Performance - Softgoods is based out of Bozeman, Montana.

    As the Associate Product Developer, you'll get the opportunity to:

    + Create and organize digital assets needed for development.

    + Organize physical assets throughout development process (prototypes, strike offs, trims, etc.)

    + Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate prototyping of assigned soft good designs across the multiple business channels.

    + Support sourcing, cost negotiation, and final approval of all trims utilized in soft good design.

    + Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet launch deadlines.

    + Participate in daily product team meetings with cross-functional teams, to coordinate project actions, mitigate project risks, and communicate challenges and potential solutions.

    + Partner with cross-functional teams to fulfill all calendared development deliverables, spanning from seasonal project kickoff to final pre-production sample approval.

    + Partner with design and product management teams in comprehensive prototype and costing reviews, to bring design vision to life within the confines of target costing.

    + Support communication with contract designers regarding calendar deadlines, organizing and participating in sample review meetings, and providing factory cost/construction feedback.

    + Support factory development process improvements that increase workflow efficiency.

    + Facilitate constructive feedback from factory and overseas development teams on construction and materials through regular product reviews.

    + Maintain regular email and skype communication with factory contacts, overseas development team, and suppliers regarding project status, and calendar timing.

    + Participate in thorough factory cost BOM reviews and manage factory cost negotiation for assigned styles.

    + Support photo shoot sample process through collaboration with creative services team, sourcing team, factory contacts, and project management.

    + Partner with factory and design teams to cost engineer assigned styles during factory direct development trips.

    You Have:

    + Bachelor's degree

    + 1-3 years of experience in softgoods product development

    + Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments and stakeholders

    + Good working knowledge of Illustrator, Excel, Word, Outlook

    + Proven ability to coordinate across functional teams

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to easily transition from macro thinking to micro thinking

    + Good judgment with the ability to drive timely and sound decisions

    + Commitment to excellence and high standards

    + Demonstrated ability to lead a meeting and keep the topics relevant

    + Excellent problem recognition and collaboration skills for resolution

    + Ability to escalate issues in a concise and timely manner

    + Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

    Pay Range:

    Annual Salary: $54,000.00 - $57,500.00

     

    The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
