    The Department of Psychology at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position, with a research focus on affective science. The Stanford Psychology Department values transparency and openness in science and encourages candidates to provide in their research statement a description of how these values are reflected in their work to date and their future research plans. Applicants should describe in their statement their philosophy and preparation to teach courses and mentor students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

     

    The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or in a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

    + a cover letter

    + curriculum vitae (including a bibliography/publication list)

    + a statement of research interests (no more than three single-spaced pages)

    + a statement of teaching interests (no more than one single-spaced page)

    + copies of at most three scholarly papers

    + contact information for at least three letters of recommendation (letters will be solicited automatically for non-tenured applicants).

    The 9-month salary range for this position is $128,750-$139,050 for academic year 2026-2027.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
