    Solder Technician – 2nd Shift | J-STD Certified | $22–$23/hr + Shift Diff | Maple Grove, MN

     

    Are you an experienced soldering professional looking to grow your career in the electronics manufacturing industry? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a **2nd Shift Solder Technician** in Maple Grove, MN. In this role, you’ll perform **Class III hand soldering** and precision assembly work that directly impacts the production of high-quality components used in critical industries.

     

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

    **Pay:** $22–$23/hr starting + $1/hr shift differential (higher pay available for current certifications)

    What You’ll Do:

    As a Solder Technician, you’ll be responsible for hands-on soldering, fabrication, and assembly of precision electronic components. Your duties will include:

     

    + Performing Class III hand soldering on Through-Hole, SMT, and Flex products using scopes.

    + Cutting, stripping, tinning, and soldering wires, cables, resistors, capacitors, and other components to PCBs and assemblies.

    + Cleaning, reworking, and preparing parts using hand tools, in-line clean, vapor degreaser, and special devices.

    + Recording product data and following ESD, ISO, and industry standards.

    + Operating soldering equipment such as selective solder, solder wave, and SMT equipment as required.

    + Assisting co-workers, training others, and contributing to process improvement.

    + Following all work instructions, drawings, and safety practices while ensuring accuracy and quality.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification (or ability to pass certification upon hire).

    + Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed written/oral instructions.

    + Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work under a scope.

    + Ability to pass visual acuity and color vision exams.

    Preferred:

    + Prior electronics manufacturing or soldering experience.

    + Familiarity with microscope soldering and quality measurement practices.

    **Pay Details:** $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
