Job Title:Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Cardiology

Inpatient/Outpatient:50/50 both inpatient and outpatient.

Position Overview:

Henry Ford Healthis seeking a dedicated and skilledNurse Practitioner (NP)orPhysician Assistant (PA)to join our well-established team atEastside Cardiovascular Medicine. This full-time position will offer a unique opportunity to rotate between the clinic andHenry Ford St. John Hospital, providing comprehensive care to cardiology patients.

We are looking for candidates with at least1 year of cardiology experience, though we are open to reviewingnew graduatesas well. However, preference will be given to those with prior experience. The practice is well-established, with2 other APPsand9 physicianswho enjoy teaching and are committed to providing a collaborative and educational environment.

This role will allow you to work alongside a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in both clinical and hospital settings. The ideal candidate will be motivated, adaptable, and passionate about delivering high-quality care to cardiology patients while thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule– Full-Time. Monday – Friday, 8-hours. Day Shift.

Weekend requirement– Every 3rdweekend.

Call requirement– No.

OR Time– No.

Qualifications:

• NP – Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

• PA – Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

• NP – Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan

• PA – Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Licensure and Certification

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)

• National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required by

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.

o DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.

Experience

• 1 year cardiology experience.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

• Commitment to patient-centered are and continuous professional development.
