    We are seeking a results driven and strategic leader to oversee our enterprise wide utility and waste operations program. The Sr. Manager of Utility Operations will play a critical role in ensuring business continuity of utility and waste services, while also identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives to optimize our utility program's performance across the organization.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Lead the development and execution of a $550M enterprise energy aligned with departmental and organizational objectives, supporting approximately 13,000 retail locations across the United States and Canada.

    + Build, coach, and manage a high-performing utility operations team of 10+ full-time employees responsible for ensuring reliable, cost-effective utility and waste services.

    + Oversee utility and waste vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, compliance, and performance management to meet service level and cost efficiency goals.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners across Finance, Accounting, Construction, Operations, Facilities & Maintenance, Real Estate, Legal and Mergers and Acquisitions to align strategies with broader business needs.

    + Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through invoice audits and operational efficiency projects focused on reducing energy and waste usage.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

     

    YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERINCE: 10+ years

     

    YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ years

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: CEM, CEP

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    + Education: Bachelors/4-year degree/Masters

    + Experience: 10 years of Energy Conservation/Procurement experience, Project Management, Engineering, Retail Operations and Negotiation skills.

    + Thorough working knowledge of energy related engineering specifications for small box retail or similar applications.

    + Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications and thorough working knowledge of database concepts and common applications.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    + Strong leadership and time-management skills; the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple, competing priorities to achieve high levels of performance and deliver sustainable results
