Flexible schedule that is different every week. You can request up to 3 shifts that work for you in a 4-week schedule that can help with appointments, days off, etc. Operating room is collaborative team of surgeons, anesthesia, technologists, and registered nurses. One to one patient ratio. Numerous specialties including robotics, cardiovascular, orthopedics, plastics, OB-GYNE, neuro, urology, and trauma. All employees are expected to be proficient in each specialty; however, you will be in the specialty you prefer most of the time after orientation. Huge perk is getting to know the surgeons here and being able to request them to care for family members etc.

*How you’ll contribute*

ACertified Surgical Technologist (CST) who excels in this role:

• Works closely with all emergency services staff

• Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and visitors

• Performs aseptic surgical techniques while functioning as a surgical assistant for trauma alerts/procedures

• Responsible for the proper collection of most specimens used in laboratory analysis within the scope of their knowledge and experience (Phlebotomy, POC testing)

• Performs point of care testing, and follows appropriate quality control procedures

• Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as appropriate including the transporting of patients throughout the facility

*What we’re looking for*

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of a surgical technologist program. Additional requirements include:

• National Certification or if was employed to practice surgical technology as the primaryfunction in another health care facility during the 2 years immediately preceding December 28, 2020, thirty (30) hours of continuing education every 2 years.

• CPR

• One year of experience preferred

*Minimum Qualifications:*

*Required:*Graduate of a school for surgical technology and maintains ST certification. National Certification (NBSTA) (NCCT) is required upon date of hire. National Certification is maintained and proof of 30 hrs of relevant continuing education every 2 years. Certification in NCCT with annual recertification. CPR certification.

*Preferred:*Employed in a 1st and 2nd scrub role on or before 12/29/20 OR employed at another healthcare facility in the 2 years prior to 12/29/20
