JOB SUMMARY
Facilitates and coordinates hospital wide quality and risk management programs to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, State, Federal and other regulatory requirements. Facilitates compliance with all process improvement and risk management activities.
FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS
Essential Functions
1. Analyze complex situations to identify opportunities for improvement using data driven decision making
2. Assist departments in the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance and outcomes measurement
3. Prioritizes projects based on the organization’s strategic quality goals
4. Develops strategies to implement projects
5. Manage projects, including department resource allocation and team development
6. Uses analytical skills for improving patient safety and enhancing the quality of patient care
7. Performs root cause and failure mode effects analyses
8. Provides written and graphical reports to appropriate committees on a monthly basis
9. Follows protocol to protect the assets of the hospital
10. Assisting in leading the quality improvement and risk management programs
11. Schedules and coordinates the Patients Safety and Clinical Quality Committee
12. Assists leaders in the development of departmental goals
13. Builds relationships throughout the hospital in order to improve patient safety
14. Assists in the development of action plans as needed to demonstrate compliance with State, Federal and The Joint Commission regulations
15. All other duties as assigned

8. Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health-care related field (Social Work, Nursing or like field)
Required Licenses
[West Virginia, United States] Social Worker
Required License:
Current State license in career field (Social Work, or like field)
Required Skills
Required Certification:
CPPS, CPHRM and/or CPHQ desirable
American Heart Association BLS is required
