King Air Fire Management Captain

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven King Air Captain to join our wildfire aviation team. In this role, you will provide safe, professional, and timely on-demand aerial firefighting operations in Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft. This is a unique opportunity to serve communities in need, operate in diverse environments, and make an immediate impact during critical wildfire missions.

This is a full-time position . While our missions take place across the West, relocation to Chino California is required.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate as Pilot in Command (PIC) in Air Tactical Group Supervisor (ATGS) missions

+ Execute short-notice and on-demand aerial firefighting operations at bases nationwide

+ Plan, brief, and conduct flights in alignment with mission requirements, Part 135 regulations , and company policies

+ Work closely with Field Technical Representatives and ground teams to ensure operational readiness and mission success

+ Provide leadership, decision-making, and safety oversight in high-stakes wildfire environments

+ Support company aircraft operations and assist with other duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Licenses & Certifications:

+ FAA Commercial Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating

+ Second Class Medical Certificate

+ Eligibility for Interagency Pilot Qualification Card (pilot carding process)

Flight Experience (Minimums):

+ 1,500 hours Total Time

+ 1,200 hours PIC (airplane)

+ 200 hours PIC Multi-Engine Land (100 hours in last 12 months)

+ 200 hours PIC in mountainous/low-level terrain (<2,500’ AGL, per 14 CFR 95.11)

+ 200 hours PIC Night

+ 500 hours PIC Cross-Country

+ 50 hours PIC actual instrument

+ 75 hours PIC simulated instrument

+ 25 hours PIC in Beechcraft King Air (10 hours in last 12 months)

Additional Requirements:

+ Ability to travel on short notice and adapt quickly to dynamic fire environments

+ Strong decision-making ability under pressure

+ Commitment to safety and teamwork in high-tempo operations
