    Parker Lord has an immediate opening for a Senior Shipping Coordinator role at the Robison Road facility in Erie, PA. This position is responsible for the day-to-day processing of incoming receipts of material into SAP and supporting the shipping coordinators with product shipment.

     

    + Efficiently and accurately receive in all items from our vendors into SAP with the appropriate documents.

    + Troubleshoot any discrepancies hindering receipt of product into the facility by coordinating communication between the appropriate parties involved to obtain resolution.

    + Interface with freight forwarders, customer service, and transportation providers to ensure accurate and timely shipments.

    + Prepare and manage necessary transportation/delivery documentation according to established policies and procedures.

    + Organize and coordinate work to meet service objectives of the receiving/shipping departments.

    + Prepare and present data required to support the operation as necessary.

    + Assist in the preparation of customer orders as needed.

    + Participate in Lean Manufacturing and High-Performance Team (HPT) Initiatives.

    + All other duties as assigned by manager.

    REQUIRED

    + Material handling (shipping, receiving, warehousing) experience.

    + Transportation experience in a manufacturing setting.

    + Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions.

    + Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.

    + The incumbent must be able to coordinate and communicate appropriately and effectively with other professionals, be well organized, and exhibit sound decision-making abilities

    + Ability to work independent of direct supervision, self-starter.

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    + Demonstrated attention to detail.

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    PREFERRED

    + Working knowledge of SAP software.

    + Knowledge of domestic and international shipment regulations.

    + Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.

     

    This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
