    Materials Planner (Contract) – Manufacturing Industry

     

    Duration: 6–9 months

    About the Role:

    Our client, a leading manufacturer undergoing a financial and systems transformation, is seeking a Materials Planner to support material flow and inventory management during the company’s migration from SAP to SAP S/4 HANA. The Materials Planner will play a critical role in ensuring that raw materials and components are available to meet production schedules, customer demand, and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Plan and manage material requirements to align with production schedules and customer demand.

    + Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery of materials.

    + Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock to avoid shortages or excess.

    + Analyze material usage and forecast requirements to maintain balance between cost and availability.

    + Support the transition to SAP S/4 HANA by adapting planning processes and ensuring accurate data migration.

    + Track supplier performance, resolve shortages or delivery issues, and escalate risks when necessary.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve material planning processes and system accuracy.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 3+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or production planning within manufacturing.

    + Strong ERP knowledge (SAP experience preferred; S/4 HANA a plus).

    + Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

    + Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities.

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
