Responsible for developing and delivering technical training for Electric Meter Technicians and Lab Technicians including classroom and hands\-on instruction\. Supports AMI project training in EMA and WMA, evaluates tools and equipment, updates procedures, conducts quality audits, and certifies field employees\.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Design and conduct technical training sessions for Revenue Metering personnel**

+ **Utilize both theoretical and practical instructional approaches**

+ **Support field and meter lab employee training, including AMI project initiatives in EMA and WMA**

+ **Participate in the evaluation and testing of new tools, materials, and equipment**

+ **Maintain and revise standards and procedures to reflect current best practices**

+ **Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure compliance and performance**

+ **Oversee supervision evaluations and certification of field employees**

Essential Functions:

+ Works with field personnel and supervisors to analyze job tasks and current field performance to determine training needs and program content\.

+ Effectively implements training programs, assessments, and employee evaluations \.

+ Supervises, directs and instructs trainees during classroom, hands\-on training assignments\.

+ Evaluates performance during training and follows up on students learning through field visits, observations and refresher training\.

+ Incorporates new procedures and new equipment into training programs\.

+ Develops and maintains annual training schedules and communicates schedules to stakeholders as necessary

Qualifications:

_Technical Knowledge/Skill:_

+ Requires knowledge of utility revenue metering design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes\.

+ Excellent communication skills, ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands\-on technical instruction with clarity, confidence and enthusiasm\.

+ Requires leadership and coaching abilities\.

+ Ability to use PC desktop applications \(e\.g\. Microsoft Word & Excel\)\.

+ Working knowledge of labor contracts\.

_Education:_

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience

_Experience_ :

+ Five \(5\) plus years of experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers and supervising employees
