The Facilities Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director for Facilities and assists in managing and supervising the daily operations of recreation facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students and university members.
The Facilities Coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing weekend and evening operations, including the supervision of approximately 15 weight room supervisors and 50 weight room staff. Additional responsibilities include supporting the general supervision of student facility staff, conducting facility inspections, managing locker rentals and daily lockers, coordinating special events, and overseeing facility set-ups for various activities.
While on duty, the Facilities Coordinator also helps coordinate Emergency Action Plans and building maintenance activities, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the Barnes Center.
