    Job Posting: Yoga Instructor (Part-Time / Hourly)

    Position Overview

    Morgan Park Sports Center, managed by ASM Global, is seeking a certified and passionate Yoga Instructor to lead group yoga classes in a dynamic, inclusive, and outdoor-friendly environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in teaching yoga to diverse populations and is committed to promoting wellness, mindfulness, and physical health. This is a part-time hourly role requiring a minimum of 2 classes per week, with flexibility for daytime, weekend, and holiday availability.

    Responsibilities

    + Instruct scheduled yoga classes, beginning and ending on time

    + Provide clear, safe, and engaging instruction for all levels

    + Educate participants on breathing techniques, proper alignment, and mindfulness

    + Prepare appropriate music, props, and materials before each session

    + Offer posture modifications and support to meet individual needs

    + Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive class environment

    + Ensure class safety and adherence to all facility policies

    + Report any concerns, incidents, or equipment needs to management

    + Complete other job responsibility and duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Current Yoga Alliance or equivalent yoga certification required

    + CPR/AED certification (Red Cross or equivalent) required

    + Previous experience teaching yoga in a group setting

    + Knowledge of human anatomy, yoga philosophy, and safe teaching techniques

    + Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    + Ability to motivate and engage participants of all skill levels

    Physical Requirements

    + Frequent standing, walking, stretching, and demonstrating postures

    + Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds and assist participants as needed

    + Endurance to instruct active classes for extended periods

    + Reasonable accommodations provided as required by law.

     

    Hourly Rate: $19.00/hour
