Calibration Technician

**Location:** Murrysville, PA

**Travel:** Local travel between customer sites and occasional overnight travel (up to 10%)

We are currently hiring a **Calibration Technician II** for a **permanent onsite customer location in Murrysville, PA** . This role will primarily support calibration activities at the Murrysville site, with potential travel to other nearby customer sites and occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) as needed. In addition to onsite calibrations, you may assist with pulling and shipping equipment for offsite calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform low- to mid-complexity calibrations in General Purpose and Physical Dimensional disciplines.

Complete calibration services within assigned timeframes to meet customer and quality expectations.

Accurately enter data and create calibration data sheets based on instrument specifications and approved procedures.

Interact with onsite customer personnel regarding repair needs, calibration exceptions, or limited scope work.

Perform preventative maintenance and adhere to all relevant quality management system policies and procedures.

Support the full calibration lifecycle, including identifying equipment for offsite calibration and packaging/shipping.

Participate in FBS (Fortive Business System) initiatives, such as Daily Scheduling, Kaizen events, and problem solving.

May perform work in the Tektronix service center when not onsite.

Minimum Qualifications:

2–4 years of calibration or relevant technical experience.

Strong customer service skills and professionalism in a direct customer-facing role.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database entry (Excel emphasis).

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Able to travel locally between customer sites and occasionally overnight (approximately 10%).

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree, certification, or military metrology (PMEL/TMDE) training.

Previous experience in onsite or field-based calibration roles.

Familiarity with calibration in any of the following disciplines:

Biomedical

General Purpose (GP)

Physical Dimensional (PD)

Bonus or Equity

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is $19.81 – $36.73
