Global Purchasing Material Planner — Help PDS Tech Commercial Drive Supply Chain Excellence with A Leading HVAC Manufacturer!

**Location:** Fort Wayne, IN | **Pay Rate:** $34.70/hr | **Schedule:** Full Time; (Standard work day - Shift TBD)

Summary:

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Global Purchasing Material Planner to join our team in the manufacturing industry. In this key role, you’ll support the sourcing and acquisition of direct and indirect materials, playing a vital part in ensuring supply chain efficiency and production success. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s ability to meet customer demands and drive operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

+ Manage the supply chain for assigned commodities by planning, analyzing, procuring, and expediting materials to meet production demands.

+ Analyze MRP systems to align inventory levels with production schedules and avoid excess or shortage.

+ Use SAP daily to track supplier performance, ensure 100% on-time delivery, and resolve open order issues.

+ Partner with internal teams such as sales, production, engineering, quality, finance, and logistics to coordinate material needs and communicate status updates.

+ Collaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, review open order reports, and conduct weekly meetings to ensure timely fulfillment.

+ Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice rejections and ensure prompt supplier payments.

+ Coordinate with the Quality Department to manage defective materials and process returns and credits.

+ Support leadership on assigned projects and initiatives as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience as a Buyer/Materials Planner with Accounts Payable resolution

+ Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience in the same areas

+ High school diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience

Skills & Qualifications:

+ Strong knowledge of MRP systems

+ Accounts Payable invoice resolution experience (required)

+ SAP experience (preferred)

+ Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ High attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

+ Strong inventory management capabilities

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

+ Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset

**Pay Details:** $34.70 per hour
