About the Maintenance Manager Position

The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of PUSH Buffalo’s physical assets, properties, and equipment. This role ensures all facilities—residential, commercial, and community spaces—are clean, safe, secure, and function efficiently. The Maintenance Manager coordinates with other departments to optimize resource use, align property strategy with organizational goals, and address environmental health and safety concerns. This includes supervising maintenance staff, managing vendor relationships, overseeing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee daily maintenance operations, repairs, and preventive upkeep for all PUSH properties.
+ Supervise and train maintenance staff, temporary workers, and contractors.
+ Monitor property conditions, perform inspections, and coordinate work orders.
+ Manage unit turnovers, seasonal prep, and emergency repairs.
+ Collaborate with security, cleaning, and property management teams to ensure operational efficiency.
+ Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and building regulations.
+ Assist with budgeting, vendor management, and facility-related purchases.
What We’re Looking For
+ High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
+ 5+ years of maintenance/facilities experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
+ Certifications in electrical, plumbing, or related trades preferred.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; work order system experience (Salesforce a plus).
+ Ability to work evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations.
+ Valid NYS driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required.
+ Spanish language skills a plus.
