The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Lingo Division. Working on Lingo, you will help build a next-generation technology that enables individuals to make decisions about how to improve energy, lose weight or enhance athletic performance.

What You’ll Work On:

+ Lead a team of skilled engineers based in the Bay Area, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture

+ Define and drive the technical strategy for our web commerce and health platform initiatives

+ Own and evolve core systems including our CMS, payment infrastructure, and other commerce-related tools

+ Manage the full application lifecycle — from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance

+ Ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and performant to support rapid business growth

+ Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences

+ Mentor and grow engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development

+ Champion engineering best practices and continuous improvement across the team

**Required Qualifications** :

+ Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing web engineering teams

+ Proven track record in building and scaling eCommerce platforms, with hands-on experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business models

+ Strong understanding of payment systems, including third-party integrations, fraud prevention, and compliance best practices

+ Solid grasp of web architecture, performance optimization, and scalable infrastructure

+ Experience leading high-performing teams in an on-site environment, ideally within the Bay Area

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

**Preferred Qualifications** :

+ Familiarity with modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS

+ Passion for mentoring engineers and fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture

+ Experience with tools such as Braze, Zendesk, Arvato, TrustArc, and Commercetools.

The base pay for this position is $146,700.00 – $293,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
