• Contract Nurse

    Help at Home (Evansville, IN)


    _Job Summary:_

    The Contract nurse reports to the Branch Manager. This position evaluates the competency of individuals to provide Home Health Aide services in the Help at Home, LLC’s comp lab or in the clients’ home, as allowed. Additionally, provider agrees to complete the HHA competency assessment to meet the requirements of the HHA licensure registry.

    _Essential Duties and Responsibilities:_

    + Provide professional services described herein as an independent contractor.

    + Evaluates the competency of individuals to provide home health aide services

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    _Required Skills/Abilities:_

    + _Physicians’ orders-HHA Plan of Care_

    + _Documentation/Advance Directives/DNR_

    + _Reporting change in patient condition or skin condition/breakdown_

    + _Reporting change in body function/Pain Mgt._

    + _Communication skills/ability to read, write, and report clinical info to clients, family and other caregivers_

    + _Vital signs – temp, pulse and respirations_

    + _Infection control/Hazardous Waste_

    + _Recognizing emergencies/Emergency Preparedness_

    + _Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment_

    + _Basic elements of body functioning and reportable changes_

    + _Grooming (hair, nail, and skin care)_

    _Education and Experience:_

    + One year experience of homecare

    + Minimum of 2 years nursing experience

    + Must be a registered nurse.
