The Operational Risk Analyst, as part of the 2 nd line of defense (2LOD), is responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, reporting risks and exposures across the organization, per the parameters established in the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Policy and framework. Specifically, through Operational Risk Management (ORM) programs, including but not limited to: Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Risk Assessments (RAs), Product Process Risk Assessments (PPRAs), process mapping, control testing, and operational risk issues and operational risk event processes.
Duties and Responsibilities** **:
+ Facilitates RCSAs via the use of the banks GRC (Governance Risk and Control system) Predict360, in addition to manual spreadsheets and presentations.
+ Works to transition primary RCSA responsibilities to the 1 st Line of Defense (1LOD) as that function is developed.
+ Performs oversight and challenges on 1LOD performed RCSAs.
+ Administers the GRC system in conjunction with all ORM staff.
+ Provide Business Unit training on Operational Risks and the use of the GRC system.
+ Performs regulatory required Risk Assessment (RAs) in partnership with the Sr. Operational Risk Analyst under the direction of the Operational Risk Manager.
+ Assists in performing the Operational Risk Event and Operational Risk Issues programs via Predict360.
+ Reviews and monitors operational risk events to analyze and identify trends. Monitors the implementation of action plans to address operational risks.
+ Reports operational risk event outcomes to enable management to ensure effective controls are designed and implemented.
+ Promotes partnership with the business units emphasizing the value added from a strong Risk Awareness culture across the organization.
+ Supports initiatives of the ORM manager, and the Risk Management Group in general, by keeping abreast of changes in regulatory guidance associated with Operational Risk.
+ Assists in the production of committee and board reporting materials.
+ Presents risk related slides and materials to committees and business units.
+ Participates in various risk related projects as they arise.
+ All other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience equivalent.
+ 3+ years of risk related work experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
+ Background in risk, testing, operations, or audit required.
+ Specific experience in RCSA program processes, a plus.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, business acumen, and report writing skills.
+ Ability to interpret, analyze and apply data/information.
+ Understanding of product/program development, implementation, and strategic analysis.
+ Ability to build and foster internal relationships and to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to summarize, document, and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
+ Be self-motivated and an effective time and project manager with a strong attention to detail.
+ Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to directly manage and communicate multiple projects and priorities.
+ Technological aptitude for understanding systems and ability to effectively use said systems in a proficient manner.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
+ Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate effectively with Business Units.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation & Benefits:
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary range for this position is between $61,000 to $80,000.
In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
