Our laboratory plays a crucial role in patient care by providing accurate and timely diagnostic testing and analyses. We're a team of dedicated professionals who are essential partners in detecting, diagnosing, and monitoring various diseases and conditions.

*How you’ll contribute*

A*Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)*who excels in this role:

• Serves as General Supervisor for the section of their responsibility.

• Maintains professional skills and provides appropriate care to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).

• Maintains personal competency on all equipment and procedures related to assigned section and assures competencies of employees in assigned section are up-to-date and complete according to Laboratory Competency Policy.

• Prepares daily work schedules to assure maximum production from assigned employees, evaluates daily workflow, and makes adjustments in staffing as necessary under the direction of the department manager.

• Completes proper documentation of employees’ hours / time in Kronos.

*What we’re looking for *

Applicants shouldqualify under route 2, 3 or 4 of the ACSP Board of Certification.Possessbachelor’s degree in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological science and graduate of an NAACLS approved laboratory training program as applicable to the position.Additional requirements include:

• 1 years experience as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ACSP)cmin a clinical Laboratory setting.

• Must be registered as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

• 2 years experience in related laboratory section preferred

*Minimum Qualifications:*

*Required:*Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological science and graduate of an NAACLS approved laboratory training program as applicable to the position. May also qualify under route 2, 3 or 4 of the ACSP Board of Certification. 1 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ACSP) cm in a clinical Laboratory setting. Must be registered as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
