**Pay Range:** $28.61 - $48.06 per hour

Summary:
Quality Assurance Analyst supports Data Management development at Rush Health, a clinically integrated network of physicians and hospitals working together to improve health through high-quality, efficient health services covering the spectrum of patient care from wellness, prevention and health promotion, to disease management and complex care management. Our network includes Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, Rush Copley Medical Center, Riverside Medical Center, and over 2000 physician members and 250 non-physician network clinicians.
The Analyst will support the development of IT projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support. This individual will collaborate with the technical team and internal customers to understand and analyze requirements, and then develop IT solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and underlying technologies. The successful candidate must demonstrate critical analysis skills and an understanding of BI and Data Warehouse operating environments.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform detailed requirements gathering, analysis, process, and data flow diagramming for BI reports and projects of moderate complexity.
+ Develop and assist in managing project plans to achieve projects. Identify and report on project status and risks to the meeting schedule.
+ Coordinate activities of cross-functional teams to achieve goals of BI and IT projects, including work plans, system design, and testing of solutions.
+ Support technical development of BI reports, applications, and other tools.
+ Read and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical models to include context, data flow, process flow, logical diagrams, and data dictionaries. Read and interpret design documents.
+ Perform complex data queries and mapping. Understand data modeling concepts (e.g., the entity-relation model) and their application: entities and tables, relations and constraints, attribute data types, and column data types.
+ Write, validate, and execute test plans for programs, applications, and/or operating systems.
+ Ensure a high level of availability for all critical reports and applications.
+ Ensure overall security of reports and applications. This includes developing an understanding of Rush Health’s security standards and testing to ensure they are integrated correctly in all reporting and BI tools.
+ Provide feedback on data quality (to the RHA Data Sourcing team, as well as to source entities) and regularly evaluate the impact of data quality issues on the end reports and end users.
+ Develop an understanding of and help support master data needs and how it is developed and managed. This will include using master data appropriately in reporting and analytical tool development; documenting master data rules as they relate to reporting needs; working with data stewards to profile and correct master data; and developing user tools to support master data management
+ Assist project sponsors in the interpretation and use of the results; ensure that the data is understood by users.
+ Coordinate prototype review, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
+ Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests. Convert existing reporting tools to a standardized reporting infrastructure using SQL and Microsoft products.
Position Requirements:
+ BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an IT and/or analytical position, preferably in healthcare or business requirements gathering.
+ Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and using relational databases.
+ Strong knowledge of programming SQL queries and stored procedures.
+ Data profiling expertise, including the ability to perform detailed data analysis.
+ Excellent communication, facilitation, and customer-facing skills.
+ Knowledge of healthcare or related industry preferred.
+ Knowledge of SharePoint preferred but not required.
+ Must have a strong customer service orientation and excellent organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
+ Experience with testing and/or maintaining IT applications in a clinical healthcare setting preferred, working with user interfaces.
+ A minimum of 3 years in a testing role, experience as a team leader.
