Job Summary
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Program Manager leads a portfolio of related projects that drive strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and supply chain excellence within a high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. In addition to overseeing program-level execution, this role includes direct people management responsibilities for Project Managers and PMO Analysts. The SCM Program Manager ensures alignment across procurement, logistics, planning, inventory, and supplier management functions while managing interdependencies and providing both strategic and tactical direction to project teams and senior stakeholders. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and brings a strong combination of supply chain expertise, technical fluency, communication ability, and leadership experience.
Essential Duties:
Program Strategy & Planning:
+ Define and manage supply chain program scope, success criteria, and deliverables in alignment with business goals and operational requirements
+ Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, resource plans, and program budgets across multiple supply chain projects (procurement, logistics, inventory, supplier development)
+ Identify and manage interdependencies across functions, prioritizing initiatives to align with strategic timelines, production capacity, and customer requirements
Team Leadership & Development:
+ Directly supervise and support Project Managers and PMO Analysts, including performance management, coaching, and career development
+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across supply chain and cross-functional teams
+ Ensure consistent application of PMO and SCM standards, templates, and tools across all managed projects
Execution & Oversight:
+ Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across procurement, logistics, production planning, supplier quality, and operations
+ Track supply chain program KPIs, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, resolution of issues, and proactive risk mitigation
+ Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and reporting while optimizing supply chain performance, cost, and resilience
Risk & Compliance:
+ Identify supply chain program-wide risks (e.g., supplier disruptions, logistics delays, material shortages), develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues appropriately
+ Ensure compliance with company standards, trade regulations, customs requirements, and EHS protocols
+ Maintain program documentation and audit readiness, supporting internal and external reviews
Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Serve as the primary liaison between supply chain program teams and senior leadership, communicating program status, performance metrics, and risk assessments
+ Facilitate steering committee meetings, supplier/business partner reviews, and executive briefings
+ Translate complex supply chain and operational information into clear, actionable updates for diverse audiences
Tools & Process Optimization:
+ Maintain supply chain program dashboards and tracking tools using platforms such as Smartsheet, Power BI, SAP, or Oracle
+ Identify opportunities to improve supply chain program governance, reporting processes, and workflow standardization
+ Apply program-level insights and capture lessons learned to refine future supply chain initiatives and project delivery approaches
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Required and/or Preferred
Education:
+ **Required** : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related technical/operations field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for required education.
+ **Preferred:** Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, or Project Management).
Essential Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of experience in supply chain program or project management, with at least 2 years of direct people leadership or team supervision
+ Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-project supply chain initiatives in technical, manufacturing, or logistics-intensive settings
+ Strong understanding of program governance, budgeting, and risk management across global or interdependent supply chains
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
+ Proficiency in supply chain and program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, JIRA)
+ Ability to influence across functional boundaries and operate effectively in matrixed environments
+ Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
+ Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in capital-intensive or high-volume manufacturing supply chains such as batteries, energy storage, automotive, or electronics
+ Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or hybrid supply chain project management methodologies
+ Experience working with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or MES/ERP systems
+ Proven track record of leading supply chain teams through transformation, scaling, or process improvement
Preferred Certification(s):
+ Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent
+ APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD
+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
