    Structural Designer

     

    POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Tower Drafting Services (TDS) team in either our Fort Worth, TX or Pittsburgh, PA office. This position includes the ability to work remotely from a mutually agreed upon location.

     

    In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Department Manager and a team of structural professionals to deliver high-quality drafting and design solutions for lattice steel structures.     Responsibilities

    + Lead and assist with lattice steel structure drafting, design, and detailing.

    + Learn, understand, and implement CAD knowledge; learning client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards and expectations; being responsible for knowing and following POWER's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues.

    + Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships.

    + Facilitate development of staff with intentional assignments to prepare the next generation of leaders.

    + Collaboratively work with the TDS and structural teams.

    Required Education/Experience:

    + Associates degree in drafting or equivalent technical degree.

    + Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in the industry.

    + Minimum 8+ years’ experience in steel detailing.

    + Significant experience in drafting with AutoCAD.

    Desired Education/Experience:

    + Experience with 3D drafting such as with Bocad or Tekla in an engineering work environment.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word and Excel).

    + Experience with Bentley ProjectWise.

    + Experience working with scaled drawings.
