    This faculty member in the Division of Pediatrics will:

    • Have specific clinical expertise in cellular therapies and stem cell transplantation or neuro-oncology. Other fields of interest might be considered if there is strong evidence of potential for program building.

    • Lend clinical expertise and provide care and direct the management of children, adolescents, and young adults with medical conditions treatable by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or adoptive cellular therapy.

    • Maintain a supportive research, teaching, and clinical practice environment for trainees and clinical team members.

     

    This Department Pediatrics - Patient Care faculty member will have a joint appointment in the Department of Stem Cell Transplantation.

     

    This position has a target base salary of $223,241 to $268,672 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.

     

    This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.

    Medical Education:

    • Medical degree and residency requirements as defined by the Texas Medical Board.

    • Completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program or equivalent. Must be board certified or board eligible in the American Board of Pediatrics.

    • Must be board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology or foreign equivalent if applicable or obtain board certification within four years of employment. Experience:

    • At least 2 years' experience as an Instructor or 5 years post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist, or GME trainee.
