    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Family Medicine team in Ankeny, IA. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers by delivering high-quality clinical care and ensuring a positive experience for patients of all ages.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider.

    + Room patients, take and record vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.

    + Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

    + Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.

    + Perform point-of-care testing and collect lab specimens as needed.

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

    + Support care coordination and patient education based on provider orders.

    + Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and properly prepared between patients.

    + Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.

    + Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.

    + Work collaboratively with other clinical and administrative staff to deliver excellent patient care.

    Qualifications

    For CMA:

    + Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

    + Current certification as a CMA (AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT).

    + BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

    For LPN:

    + Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

    + Current LPN license in the state of Iowa.

    + BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
