    *This is a 6-month internship. Applicants must be available from May through October.

     

    Opportunity

     

    Underlimited supervision, the Intern-Golf Retail willassistthe retail leadershipwiththeguest experiencesin the pro shop,organization ofstockroom, inventorymanagementand coordinationof restocking & presentation ofshop merchandise.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Greet,welcome,andassistall guests on their purchasing needs

    + Assistwithmerchandisedeliveries from central receiving and take the leadin overall organizationand cleanlinessof theretailstockroom.

    + Ensure that the pro shop isrestocked daily, ensuring size runs are complete and all inventory is neatlyfolded &merchandised.

    + Becomeknowledgeableonthe products we carry and educate colleagues

    + Assistwith physical inventory countsand inventory reconciliation.

    + Become knowledgeable on all aspects of cashiering, includingopening & closing of the register, ringing sales& exchanges,and periodically checking in golfers

    + Become knowledgeable with our inventory management system

    + Assistwith leadingand training ofnewsalesassociates on dailyoperations

    + Assistwith placing special orders and exchanges

    + Assistin checking in orders, tagging,and reporting discrepancies to leadership

    + Complete other tasks assigned within job scope.

     

    Nights and weekends are required.

    Skills/Requirements

    + Enrolled at an accredited Universitywith a focus on golf or merchandising

    + Ability to speak effectively with guestswith aservice-mentality

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonableaccommodationsmay be approved.

     

    + While primarily anindoorjob, must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold, sun & heat)

    + Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, occasionally on unevensurfaces;

    + Must be able tofrequentlylift, push, pull & carry up to 25lbs, occasionally up to 50lbs.

    + Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on a frequent basis, sometimes for prolonged periods.

    _The hourly range for this position is $18.00. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location._
