HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
A Production Technician works as part of the Assembly Department. An individual filling this job performs repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks of precision mechanical or electromechanical components. Strong emphasis is put on product quality, cosmetic handling damage, and the ability to build functional product with little to no rework required.
As a Senior Electromechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling, troubleshooting, and optimizing electromechanical systems. You will work independently on complex projects, assist in process improvements, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on expertise, and leadership in driving efficiency and quality. You will be responsible for maintaining company-owned toolboxes and for keeping a neat and orderly work cell and common work areas.
This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Lead the assembly, integration, and testing of complex electromechanical systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electromechanical equipment.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Install, modify, and upgrade machinery, automation systems, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret detailed electrical and mechanical schematics for accurate assembly and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the development and refinement of maintenance procedures and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, part replacements, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring equipment failures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical components, PLCs, motor controls, and sensors.
• Strong experience with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and calibration equipment.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead small teams.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with robotics, automated manufacturing systems, or industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
• Background in root cause analysis and predictive maintenance strategies
Physical & Environmental requirements:
• Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
• Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from worksite to another.
• Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
• Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Occasional medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds.
• Prolonged use of computer monitors.
• May be exposed to chemicals (gasses, liquid, solvents, etc.), personal protective equipment will be required.
